» Introducing the Avery Digital Classroom

April 13, 2020
Programming, News & Notes

We at the Avery Research Center give our thoughts and prayers to our stakeholders near and far. We hope that you follow all state, federal, and health guidelines.

Due to the COVID-19 public health issue the Avery Research Center staff and faculty are not physically in the building, but we are still implementing our mission of education, by moving programming to the digital space.

In April 2020, we debuted the Avery Digital Classroom, which features multiple activities to appeal to all, such as digital lectures, film screenings, book discussions, and interactive online trivia. Each participant will leave the Avery Digital Classroom historically stimulated as a result of its fun, educational, and interpersonal environment. Participants will only need access to www.zoom.us and internet connectivity to attend each event! Space for each program is limited and access will be controlled on a first-come, first-serve basis.

For the schedule of activities, please go to our programs page https://avery.cofc.edu/programs/ .

MUSEUM TOURS: The Avery Research Center offers self-guided tours Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 1030AM-12PM and 2PM-330PM. For large groups we ask you limit 25 people or fewer per time slot for self-guided tours. Due to staffing shortages Avery will not be offering guided tours to the general public until further notice.

ARCHIVES: Researchers must have a consultation BEFORE making a research appointment.
